Greenbelt Development

There has been much speculation recently about plans to use Greenbelt areas for additional housing developments. Residents in Ainsdale have to opportunity to participate in the consultation process organised by Sefton MBC.

A meeting, to explain the proposed plans, was held at Ainsdale Village Church Hall on Wednesday 3rd August 2011.

Further information can be found in two documents which you can download from our site.

The first of these is a briefing document by Natural England, and the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) which explains the purposes and policies behind the establishment of Green Belt areas, and what these mean for society at large. The document is 20 pages in length, and is available in pdf format by clicking HERE.

The second sets out the reasoned response by the Sefton Group of the CPRE to Sefton MBC’s ‘preferred option’ for Green Belt Core Strategy. This is two pages, in pdf format, and can be obtained by clicking HERE.
